PAPER & DRAWING FX have been created paper-based daily motion sounds and distinctive sounds using unique paper quantities such as Japanese “Washi” papers, cardboard, and books.
The library consists of two segments: one is PAPER MOTION SET and the other is DRAWING FX SET.

PAPER MOTION SET includes everyday paper and book-based sounds such as writing, clamping, squeezing, tearing, and turning pages, and also Japanese calligraphy and so on.
DRAWING FX SET includes paper-based drawing effects in which odd texture sound can be processed as various sound effects such as whoosh, swish, boom, horror squeaking, and many!

All recordings are recorded @ 24bit 192kHz and carefully edited.

Upcoming sound library STREAM RIVER & WATERFALL vol2.

Thursday, 24 October 2019 / Published in field recording

STREAM / RIVER & WATERFALL library will be released soon from Anti-Node Design.
Before do, I’d like to share some of the information from recordings.
I think google translate is always not trusty, so I wrote Japanese below the English writing this time.

This time of recordings, I mostly focused on the area we couldn’t record last time where Okutama in Tokyo, Ogawamachi and Hanno in Saitama, and Gunma.

今回のレコーディングでは東京の奥多摩や埼玉県の小川町、飯能また群馬県など前回収録できなかったエリアに集中しました。

Recently, I almost always use various microphones set up to get as many perspectives as possible.
As for this recording, my sets were always-very-trusted ortf set, spaced omni set, and sometimes nos and xy.
Spaced omni is perfect for mixing ambiances. Approximately 40cm apart from each other might be good.
And nos setup on boom worked great for wider streams and rivers from above.
And xy is great combination with a little wider ortf. I didn’t use much this time, but I recently had good results on ambiance recordings from this combo.

I am currently editing sounds and will upload it as soon as ready.

現在音源を編集しておりますので準備が出来次第アップロードします。

Chao for now.

FIELD RECORDING BAG

I’ve been looking for a variety of field recording bags, and in the past, I used to curry microphones in arc’teryx miura 45 and pieces of equipment in another bag, but now I can store much in this Peak Design Travel Duffelpack bag.
As you have already seen how Tim Prebble uses this bag, this bag opens from your back so no need to worry about getting dirt on your back anymore!

I tested compatible as a field recording bag, and the result was It could hold gears more than I thought.

But how about its maximum load capacity? I’ve asked them before purchasing, and their quick kind answer was they tested at well over 200+ without signs of failure!
YES! & NICE! They have such great customer support!

It is the best bag for me so far which I’d like to recommend to all colleagues and field recordists out there.

Rain sound library is available at antinodedesign.com
[email protected] 96kHz with ortf, spaced omni, XY and carefully edited.

These are some of photos I took while recording RAIN.

This place has less noise and is my favorite place.
I had been thinking a long time that I must record rain under this crib, and an opportunity suddenly came! It’s hard to tell from photos, but it was raining pretty hard. I used ortf set, omni set, and nos set this time. Nos set was very suitable for the sound of the rain falling on close leaves.

We had longer rainy season this year in Japan and I was pretty happy about it.
While people hesitated to go walk under the rain, I was recordings rain happily, at least during the time…
It was like “someone’s loss is someone’s gain”. yey!

I placed omni mic in two places and ortf set and xy set in the center inside a car to capture rain from an interior.
xy in the photo.

Rain is very unpredictable these days, so I had always prepared gears on my side for sudden rain during the period. When I thought it started raining, it suddenly stopped and vice versa, and suddenly thunders!!…
Other than seem on these photos, I found many other interesting places and sounds especially for the rain recordings, and Overall, it was fun recordings as always!

Back to recordings now!
